Support » Fixing WordPress » Problems with 3.2.1 Upgrade

  • First, I am a newbie to this, taking over admin of an existing website. We upgraded to 3.2.1 and found that several components on the site stopped working (submenus that no longer appear when “moused over”, a sliding set of photos on the home page that no longer slide).

Did a back-up of data prior, but I believe that only backed up the pages, not the slider or menu system. Not sure there. If I could go back, I would go back to 3.2, but not sure I can.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Re-install the slider and menus?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
