Problems Upgrading (3 posts)

    I am doing an upgrade from 1.2 to 2.0.2. The first step I am taking is an upgrade to 1.5.

    I have decide to do this by taking a copy of my database, and creating a second blog in a sub-directory.

    The database is created and is ok. The sub-directory is created and I have uploaded 1.5 into it. I have taken the config file and made sure that I have changed the database entries to point to a new database, and have also changed the line:
    require_once(ABSPATH.'./wp-settings.php');

    Now I know that this works because I have another setup like this for another blog I run, at another host.

    So I run the upgrade step and it works. I then try to run:
    example.com/upgrade/wp-admin
    and it drops into the existing 1.2 admin page from the blog I am trying to upgrade from.

    Please can some one help me out here.

    As an aside I am using Firefox as a browser and trying to get the support site to work is a nightmare!

    Check the site-url and home values in the copied database.

    That has fixed it. Thanks very much. I shgould have thought of that myself, as I had problems with that on the other blog. I guess it was just too late at night for the old brain.
