Problems moving the installation (3 posts)

    Hello!

    I read a few couple of threads here and there about this but never came across the exact same issue I am having right now.

    My blog is on http://www.domain.de, the old files were put directly in the root folder so it was http://www.domain.de/index.php and stuff.

    Now I wanted to move everything from
    http://www.domain.com
    to
    http://www.domain.com/blog

    So I first entered the options, changed the
    WordPress address (URI) and Blog address (URI) both from
    http:://www.domain.com
    to
    http://www.domain.com/blog .
    After that I moved all the files from the root directory to the root/blog folder and tested the blog. All I get is a white screen and nothing else.

    I've done a SQL search to find all results with domain.com so I could change those to domain.com/blog but the only existing result other than WordPress address (URI) and Blog address (URI) was in wp_users the admin user - I changed that address, too - but still only a white screen.

    What am I doing wrong here exactly? :/

    Kind regards,
    COMA

    Sounds to me like you're database info is incorrect. Check the wp-config file.

    Checked the database,

    In wp_options we got:
    siteurl -> http://www.domain.com/blog
    home -> http://www.domain.com/blog

    Changing both of them to http://www.domain.com and moving all the files back works fine, changing both of them to http://www.domain.com/blog/ (the extra / at the end) doesnt change a thing, too. (just if that would have been important ...)

    The wp-config.php is fine, too - the access to the database works I guess otherwise it wouldn't work when I move them back, right?

    Any other ideas maybe? I really have no clue what's wrong here since it worked in the past more than once. :/
