Problems getting live?

Hey guys, newbie hear. I have created the wordpress site I want, which is locally hosted. I got a friend to set me up with hosting and a domain name, and he installed wordpress on the server for me.

Now, on his advice, I replaced all the files in the wordpress folder on the server with my customized folder (from my wampserver) apart from wp-config.php.

When I go to my site, it is not as it was on my wampserver, none of the pages or widgets I added show up. Any idea where I went wrong?
