   Hello,

   Im trying to change my permalinks, but im having some problems. My permalink was ?p=123, and i want to change it to /%postname% , but it won't let me. When i change it to /%postname% i just get 404 errors. Somehow every other format permalink is possible, except for /%postname%. The closest i get to /%postname is /index.php/%postname%, wich is working fine. How can i fix this?

   Im using wordpress 2.8.5.

   try
   /%postname%/

   Thanks, but /%postname%/ doesnt work either.

   Thanks - found the answer - rewrite_mod in apache, the instructions clear when you search under '%postname%'. Thank you
