[resolved] Problems After Adding Index Page (5 posts)

Recently I started tinkering with a site I'm working on and wanted to do some live changes without showing 'em off. I created an independent index.shtml file to use as a front page so people would come back later. Now, however, when I go to the wp-admin directory, it gives me this error:

Warning: file_get_contents(/home/conbravo/conbravo/inde.shtml) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/conbravo/conbravo/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 12

What's going on here? I'm deeply confused by this and have no idea how to fix it. This is somewhat time sensitive too, as I have two weeks to finish the design and implement the changes, so any help would be deeply appreciated.

Where exactly did you place this index.shtml file on your domain? Is the index.php file still in place in root and in wp-admin?

It's in the main directory. There is indeed still an index.php and in wp-admin, unedited.

Try re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

    That worked, thanks Esmi!
