Or else How to clean out the cache

Remove all the files and folders under your site's /wp-content/cache/supercache/.

can you tell me where I could look on my dashboard to find these files? I know this is probably a simple question but I have deactivated and deleted this plug in but was told by the developers of my event calendar I need to further remove this plugin.

Those files are accessible only via SFTP or cPanel / Plesk. They can't be accessible via dashboard.

I found them on my cPanel and deleted all of the files stored under wp-content/cache/supercache/ Is there anything else I can/need to do to further remove this plugin? Thanks for you help!

Removing all the files by this plugin is bit complex. I only mentioned about how to clear the cache.

You may install this plugin in a test site and find what files are installed by this plugin.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what that means. You mean start another site, install this plugin and try to see what files are added?

I'm feeling a little panicked. Unless I can remove this my site won't work correctly and if I am understanding correctly there's no instructions for removing this from my site?

Yes. It's recommended to have a test site all the time to do something similar.

I have never had someone tell me I need a test site before. Like many people am relatively new to word press and although I am keen to have a go I have no idea how to do what you're suggesting. Basically to remove this plugin you have to either be somewhat of an expert or be prepared to hire someone if it causes problems with your site?

Thank you Esmi! I will have a look! I didn't see that when I wrote the last message, sorry!

Keep learning. I do. That's why we help and learn from each topic.

On test site... you don't need it, but a recommended practice for many reasons.

I actually used that plugin page earlier this week when uninstalling wp super cache from a client's site (I always like a reference on hand when doing something a little more complex). I found the un-install directions to be very clear, well-written & easy to follow. The whole uninstall took about 5 minutes & went without a hitch. Just follow the instructions in the order they they are written and you should be OK.
