I'm trying to change the background on my website. So I go to appearance and "upload" a photo. The photo shows in my media section but the photo won't show on my website. I can't adjust anything relating to photos and it's really necessary since I'm building a photography website.
Even when I use a theme none of the photos show. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Wrong way about. :D

Media upload is for in-post media.

If you want to change your theme, you edit your theme, unless it has a way to upload background images.

It has an option to upload a background image but nothing shows. I can change the background color but that's it. I'm going to Appearance-->Background and it has the 'upload' button for a custom background images..but nothing shows and the files are moved to media.

Okay, what theme is it :) They're all a bit different.

I have 3 themes installed and I tried each to see if maybe that was the issue. The standard twentyten wordpress theme, F8 Lite 4.2.1, and Sliding Door.

  6. Okay, using TwentyTen... Wow. I crashed chrome tryign to do that.

    Edit: Got it!

Restarted the browser. All is well. I choose the image, click upload, and it shows in the little box above where I'd just uploaded.

What are the permissions on your uploads folder?
