   Hi All,

   I am having trouble with this section in the admin: settings->reading->a static page

   The front page has been set to "Home" and has a custom template named home.php. This is working fine. However, when I set my Posts Page to "News", with the template set to default, it is showing the Home page. If I change the template to a custom template with the name of "News" it is still showing the home.php template.

   If you want your home page to be a "static" page called Home and your main blog page to be News, your home page would be controlled by a template called front-page.php or if that doesn't exist it would use index.php. home.php is for when you are showing the main blog page as the home page.
