   Hi All,

   I am having trouble with this section in the admin: settings->reading->a static page

   The front page has been set to "Home" and has a custom template named home.php. This is working fine. However, when I set my Posts Page to "News", with the template set to default, it is showing the Home page. If I change the template to a custom template with the name of "News" it is still showing the home.php template.

   You should use a different name for your front page template. The name home.php is special to WordPress.

   Also, WP ignores any template assigned to the Blog page and uses the default, which is home.php if it exists.
