[resolved] Problem with special characters in title attachement title (2 posts)

    Hello!

    I've got a problem with attachement titles. When I set up a title with polish letters, for example ą, ę, ł etc. those character are converted to numbers and displayed as such, so that:

    Jak wzbudzić i utrzymac koncentrację

    becomes

    Jak wzbudziu0107 i utrzymac koncentracju0119

    I'd appreciate any help and pointers to fix this

    This is an issue with PHP versions <5.4. If you aren't able to upgrade to PHP 5.4 you'll need to run a series of str_replace() to handle the character encoding. It comes down to the fact that I'm trying to store everything as UTF-8, but PHP's json_encode() escapes things when I don't want it to in versions before 5.4. More information available here:
