Hey everybody,
Im new to wordpress, so maybe this is something that should easily be
resolved, I dont know. I cant seem to find anybody with the same problem on the forums.
I have just installed wordpress, and installed the pixel skin.
I would now like to remove the standard widgets that is on there (comments, meta, last post, archives). so I went into the widgets options to the drag and drop menus. But all of them are empty (sidebar_full, sidebar_right etc.etc.) There is no widgets in there.
So I tried dropping the calendar in the sidebar_full, and it appeard on the sidebar on the site, with all the other standard widgets. But when I went back into the back end to drag the calendar out of the sidebar, it had disappeared on its own. Even though it was still appearing on the website.
I tried deleting all the plugins and have removed some of the code in sidebar.php which had the widget names in it, but to no avail. They are all still there, unremovable it seems.
Can anybody help?
