problem with serch results (html code)

At my website I can use search module in two ways:
1)bz the module that was included in my template and when i search something the results looks ok
2)by this plugin by custom fields, and this time the search results looks different. The plugin change symbols into html code… For example symbol “-” changes into “&#8211”

What can I do to get the good looking search results?
I hope that You will understand me and that someone can help me 🙂
