    Hi I am using WordPress 2.9.2 for my blog. Until my last post, two weeks ago, i had no problem posting or saving or deleting. Now i seem to be unable to do almost everything, even deactivate plugin. My hosting is fine. I can save files on my website (the blog is just part of it) and my database is not full.

    I create a post, press publish or save and nothing happens. The page goes back to the dashboard with the post, but the new post and its content is nowhere to be found.

    I looked at the forum, tried to deactivate my plugins, but when i tried nothing happened, no deactivation! I tried to delete an old draft and nothing happened. No error message as well
    is it something going on?

    Please let me know

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 2.9.2.

    Hi

    It seems that I cannot deactivate any plugin, when i click deactivate nothing happens.

    I cannot switch to anyother theme either.

    Frustated, I decided to update to WordPress latest version, and now i have a bigger problem.

    Database Update Required

    Everytime I try to log in into my dashboad I get this message

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    I click Update wordpress Database

    I get back Your WordPress database has been successfully updated!
    then when I click continue i go back to
    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
    What can i do?

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

    Problem solved. It was due to my database hosting had expired and the email from my host provider was in the spam box! Thanks
