problem with plugins

I am having problems with plugins. I cannot seem to figure out what’s wrong.

many of my readers are deaf and they enjoy video comments. I am wanting to have disqus (www.disqus.com)on my website. I have it downloaded on my computer. I have filezilla FTP and have uploaded it but it is NOT SHOWING UP on plugins in the website.

What am I doing wrong?

Please advise as I have spent hours trying to figure out.
