Problem with mysql 5 ug and WP admin access

    Early today I started having problems with one of my sites. I logged out and then could not log back in. All I was doing at the time was writing content for a post.

    When attempt to login- I get the following message:
    The page isn’t redirecting properly
    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    I then checked another site that I did not even touch and found the same thing. After hours of checking ISP etc..my hosting co….admitted that they UG mySQL from 4 to 5.

    They will not assist me and told me I had to go to WP for help. They did not even give me the courtesy of notifying me of the UG.

    I followed the directions RE; Redirection issues, but it did not solve my problem. So how do I get access back to my sites Admin consoles and why would changing the mySQL cause this ?

    Anyone who could help, I would be much appreciative. I was supposed to make site upgrades and content to customer site early today and now I have lost the day with no idea where to go from here ?
