first i appreciate all your help, i know you dont have to take time out of your life and help people like me...and just want to let you know its greatly apprecited
but you must have me confused, i have not even tried screwing around with the mapping...since i took your first advice
"Turn off the domain mapping plugin for now. You're not there yet"
w/respect to referencing this domain and getting the 500 error code http://www.fromrentertohomeowner.njvideohousetours.com/wp-admin/
this was just my way of testing to see if the adjustments i have been making in the wildcard was working or not...unless thats not the way to do it...
i now, know, exactly that the problem has been isolated to the wildcard, the dns or .htacess
the problem is that i have done exactly those instructions to the tee, then spoke to at least dozen bluehost tech peeps and they cant figure it out...
but to be honest, i dont know squat...and i seem to know more than them...
so just one last time if you dont mind taking a look at the wildcard i set up and let me know what you think
my question last time about the wildcard was how important is it to have the main domain in html root? bc i tried it both ways with and without
DOES THIS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
bluehost didnt know so i tried it both ways and still got the error code and still got the bluehost webpage
heres the subdomain
so unless theres something else im missing, looks like i may have exhausted my subdomain resources
so i may have to capitulate to the wordpress multisite gods and call it day...
unless i try doing it as a subfolder...which i dont mind doing...i know i'll have to change the setting to subdomain false just dont know what the other steps would be...if you could provide a link i'll do that...
again just want to put it out there that this guy appreciates your help
