    I'm having trouble with the breakpoints since upgrading to 3.5 and switching to the Twenty Twelve Theme.

    You'll see if you make your browser window approximately 1024x768. The div id's primary and secondary switch to about 23%. I'm digging into this with Firebug now, but if anyone spots the problem, please let me know.

    Thank you!

    according to Firefox' web developer add-on, the 'responsive-twentyten' plugin seems to get triggered at that width and interferes with this style:

    line 95:

    #primary, #secondary
    {
      overflow-x: hidden;
      overflow-y: hidden;
      width: 23.4043%;
    }

    Thanks for the quick reply. After digging some more, turns out I had installed the Responsive TwentyTen plugin ( http://gingerbreaddesign.co.uk/wordpress/responsive-twentyten/ ) some time ago. After disabling this, the problem resolved itself.
