• I encountered very weird problem in my website nadlanguide.co.il.

categories and sub-categories can’t be accessed via outside links or by copy pasting the URL – You get 404 error in that case.
Only if you try to access the links from within the website I can see it without getting 404 error.

  • If I click on the category, it looks good. What you mean is direct connection?

    For example the following category:
    http://www.nadlanguide.co.il/%D7%A0%D7%95%D7%AA%D7%A0%D7%99-%D7%A9%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%AA/

If you try to enter you will get 404 error message.
If you will try to access it from the website itself you will get into the right page.

Each time I try to access some categories or sub categories from outside (copy paste/links from other website) I get an error message.

If it’s from my website (nadlanguide) everything works fine.

It works fine from my end.

Okay I think I figure out what was the problem. I am not sure but I am just saying.

    1. I noticed that those are not English language. Copy and paste (depending on your language pack), could change the format.
    2. This means that the link you gave above (http://www.nadlanguide.co.il/%D7%A0%D7%95%D7%AA%D7%A0%D7%99-%D7%A9%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%AA/) is actually…not that.
    3. how I can prove that was I copy the a random category on your website and I paste it on words. it shows %05%03 etc. You get the point. But when I paste the same code (the one I copy directly from your website not from my words), it goes to the link without a problem.

Now, I am terribly sorry as I can’t find a better way to explain. But to cut things short, I think the link is working well IF the visitor has the right language pack.

    Does this solve your question?

*maybe you can try visit the site from another computer – just saying!

I was thinking about that (The language is hebrew by the way):
    1. It doesn’t work also on computers with Hebrew windows, Hebrew Chrome and hebrew installed.
    2. Pages works but not most of the categories and sub-categories

So I guess It something else.

    What else can cause it?
Has anyone here seen something like this happen?
I’m really looking for a solution.

    Few more clarifications:
-non of the categories contain other characters beside letters and “-” for separating between the words.

-It happen only when you getting the referred to the website from another website (or by copy paste the URL).

-The URL is written right but somehow you still get the error 404.

-Even If I try to type the URL (without all the %&&$ symbols) I still get the 404 error message.
