    Hi,
    im a new to wordpress, and for some strange reason im not allowed to send my uploaded images to the editor?! Yesterday it worked all fine, today just nothing happens... why?
    Im using wordpress 2.0.2 with firefox 1.5 under winxp - also in the IE it doesnt work!
    If i take a look to the java script konsole (in firefox) it says:

    Fehler: syntax error
    Quelldatei: javascript:void()
    Zeile: 1, Spalte: 5
    Quelltext:
    void()

    Any idea what i`m doing wrong, and how to fix this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    You are able to upload new images, but the "send to editor" link doesn't result in the code appearing in your post?

    Does that happen when you have an active cursor in the post area?

    What happens when you drag the image into the post?

    Wow, that is a quick answer! Thanks!

    "You are able to upload new images, but the "send to editor" link doesn't result in the code appearing in your post?"

    yea, thats right!

    "Does that happen when you have an active cursor in the post area?"

    yea, thats also right!

    "What happens when you drag the image into the post?"

    i didn`t know that this would work, and it shows a good preview, but if post it, it just says the name of the image...?!

    Disable the wysiwyg editor and try it.
    If a no go, consider something like Image Manager:

    Definitely disable the wysiwyg editor.

    And for now, if all else fails here, you can wrap the name of the image (after you drag it) with standard image tag mark up:

    <img src="name/location of the image" alt="" />

    That should work.

    More questions:
    1. Where is your image options set to upload to?
    2. What are the permissions for that folder?
    3. does it work better with the wysiwyg editor turned off?

    not for nothing, but do you have a script blocker addon to firefox installed? try disabling that.

    Thanks for your answeres!
    Im a bloody beginner, so i dont know what is the wysiwyg editor, and where do i find it?
    The images are uploaded to "wp-content", and the folder`s got all the 777.

    Okay, i googled a bit - the wysiwyg editor is the one i use, but what do you mean with "turned off"? you mean working in the html editor? So if you mean that, it works, but i thought there would be an easier way?!

    Same problem here. Seems to be a javascript issue
