Problem with domain forwarding and site / blog url (3 posts)

    Hi guys,

I've been working on getting my wordpress installation right for 3 days straight now.
Installation manuals, support topics, user guides, it's just not working.

    My problem:

I've got the domain "www.mijnmeuk.nl" forwarded to my ip-adres (62.163.46.98).
My basic wordpress installation (2.05) is running properly on apache2 on my home server in htdocs (root). No wordpress directory.
After the install it is reachable at the ip-adres and fully functional (adding themes, widgets etc).

When I go to options and change the site url and blog url to http://www.mijnmeuk.nl, the blog stops functioning. I only get the basic frontpage without a applied stylesheet and loging in is not possible. It loads the header, sidebar and footer.
Changing the site url back in the mysql tables doesn't reverse the problem as well.

I got the installation working in this set up with "frame" domain forwarding, but I don't want it to run in a frame. So the forwarding is set to "location".
I tried restarting the Apache and Mysql services, no effect.

I've read support topics concerning site-url and forwarding, but no usable information.
I've set up the blog at the above url and it is running.

    Please help!

Not sure I understand really. I try going here:
    http://www.mijnmeuk.nl/

    and that trys forwarding here:
    http://www.mijnmeuk.nl/62.163.46.98

And that is a error message.

yeah, I was trying something out. Sorry about that. It's set up now at http://www.mijnmeuk.nl. That redirects to http://62.163.46.98/ and is showing the blog correctly.
But I want it to display the url http://www.mijnmeuk.nl. Things go wrong when I change site and blog url in options at the admin console.
