    Hello,

i´ve got a problem by showing pictures with lightbox, which are greater than 5mb.

because of a lot of devices, for example mobile phones, with smaller screen sizes and low speed connection, loading big images is a problem.

i would like the following feature:

admin plugin settings: adding a checkbox for loading pictures from greatest size or from matching thumbnail size.

    if unchecked doing like before.

    if checked do following:

    get screen size of device.

select the next size of thumbnail for displaying picture in lightbox, resize it and show this.

this way it would be possible to add thumbnail sizes and smaller devices not have to load big images, because of selecting matching thumbnail before.

    with greatings fp4lisa

If big files are a problem for your visitors, don't publish big files.

For what it's worth, WP jQuery Lightbox has a setting to scale images to fit the display. Resolution is not a problem unless you make it one.

resizing images is a problem for small devices i think. thats what i mean. also a picture of 3mb is a problem for a smartphone.

There's 218 000 downloads of this plugin, so unless you've got more than a suspicion I'll stick to my claim that scaling does in fact work.

Don't use 3mb pictures in your post. How is this a problem?
