   I tried to use the akismet plugin with my blog. I entered an API key and got an error.

   The error I got is the following: "The key you entered could not be verified because a connection to akismet.com could not be established. Please check your server configuration."

   I've tried a couple of things to no avail, so I'm not sure what I need to do.

   Hope you guys can help me out

   Can somebody please help me out :-), it would be much appreciated. I can't seem to find a 'contact support' button either.
