    Hi,

I'm new to all this and uploaded a theme I liked but I
just noticed that the right sidebar to my wordpress site
shifts all the way to the bottom of the page when viewed
    with the internet explorer browser.

    http://storymask.com/wordpress

Everything looks fine with the firefox browser but I don't
know why it doesn't with the other browser and I haven't a
clue what it look like with a Mac. My site is at:
    storymask.com/wordpress

I got my theme from: themes.wordpress.net/page/14/
Rating of the theme: Rating: 4.5

I appreciate all the help I can get.

    Sincerely,

    Ben Marroquin

P.S. I accidently posted this in the wrong place (Your
WordPress section) can a mod delete the post over there.
    Thanks.

P.S.S. How much would it cost (estimate) to have someone
extend my theme to the forums I'm setting up at:

I am having a similar problem. Here is my thread. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/85115?replies=1

it isnt resolved yet, so dont get too excited.

as for integrating phpbb into wordpress, i dont think that it is possible. I searched high and low a while back and come up with nada. you can, however, put "a" forum in your site. email me at oxfire@lidless.net and i can hook you up.

about display problems in ie. fix the errors first, http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.storymask.com%2Fwordpress%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1 Then validate the css as well, http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fstorymask.com%2Fwordpress&usermedium=all. And if it still doesn't display right, install http://ie7.sf.net

there is a forum plugin called xdforum. it's basic, but uses the wp users and is well integrated. http://www.xdweb.net/wordpress/2006/07/05/xdforum-140-wordpress-forum-plugin-released/

oxfire, unobscured email addresses are discouraged here. it's the best way to get spam. if a mod notices, they'll probably obscure it by changing '@' to '(a]' or something.

    Hi Oxfire,

Thanks for the offer on the forums. but I think I'll just
create a Forums page and link to it from there. I like
those boards and I put a lot of work setting them up :)

As for the issue, my knowledge of html is bare bones
basics which is why I went with wordpress software. I'm a
writer (or aspiring writer anyways) and I loved the
simplicity of WordPress because it allows me to be a
    writer.

Anyways, I'll wait to see if someone can give me enough
instructions to resolve the issue or a small quote to fix
    it for me.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

    Hi manstraw,

Thanks for the links but this is all beyond my knowledge
of html. I saw a site (chase the stars) that provided
services for a charge, I'll look into how much they would
charge to set it up properly. I'm a sub. teacher so I'm on
a tight budget, but maybe it'll be within my price range.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

I resolved my issue by uploading my second favorite theme.
I liked the color scheme of the first one more, but
couldn't get it to work in browsers other than FireFox. So
I just upload and set up my second favorite theme and it's
    working fine.

Come Nov. I'll pay to have my own original one done.

    Thanks All,

    Ben
