Problem viewing and adding comments (wp 2.0.5)

I just downloaded wordpress 2.0.5. and started using it. unfortuantely, whenever i try to add a comment to a post, it just refreshes the exact same page and displays neither the comments nor the dialogue boxes for adding comments.

This happens even when I’m logged in as the administrator and i also have options set so that anyone can view and add comments.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
