   I am new to WordPress, so please pardon any incorrectness in verbiage or procedure. I am trying to add jpg files to the media library so that I can place them on the web page. However, the files are now appearing in the media file with a post and comment box attached and visible when using the view feature.

   How do I upload the jpg without a post attached?

   Can I delete the attached post from the image in the media libary?
