Hello,
I'm relatively new to WordPress, but I've got a site up and running for a ministry I'm involved with and I'm having a little bit of trouble. The site is test.minutemenministries.org.
Two weeks ago, out of the blue, when trying to update several of my plugins my browser hung on "Waiting for test.minutemenministries.org..." for several minutes. I got the following error message.
This webpage is not available.
The webpage at http://test.minutemenministries.org/wp-admin/update.php?action=update-selected&plugins=akismet%2Fakismet.php%2Cportfolio-slideshow%2Fportfolio_slideshow.php%2Cs2member%2Fs2member.php%2Csimple-portfolio%2Fsimple-portfolio.php%2Csubscribe2%2Fsubscribe2.php%2Csubscribe2%2Fcounterwidget.php%2Cwp-stats-dashboard%2Fwp-stats-dashboard.php&_wpnonce=1229e9328b might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
More information on this error
Below is the original error message
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.
I figured that it was a problem with the network I was on. They had installed a new network filter, and it was giving everyone some issues.
I had someone outside the network try to update the plugins for me, but it wouldn't work there either. I'm finally back on my normal network, but when I try to update the plugins, I get a "Server down for scheduled maintenance" error message after the usual "Waiting..." status for a few minutes.
I have no clue what changed, but I wanted to see if anyone could give me some troubleshooting pointers here.
