I have deactivated the Jetpack Stats a couple of weeks ago since it interfered with Facebook Open Graph. I wasn’t able to resolve the issue and I wanted to put Jetpack Stats back again but the button that says “Connect to WordPress.com” is not working so I have no choice but to use WordPress.com Stats instead. Can anyone help me with this issue Ive been using Jetpack Stats for almost 2 years now I want it back.

  • I have a similar issue. I’d love to be able to restore and pull together my blog stats from my wordpress.com to now wordpress.org blog. Same domain, same posts. Please help, Jet Pack developers. I miss having my page view count on my site and my numbers! I worked hard for those. 😉

I don’t feel like we should be penalizes for migrating from WP.com to WP.org and self-hosting. I really hope something can be done.

    Thanks!

@headrick Can you please try installing the Jetpack Compatibility Plugin so we can see some additional information from your site?

    1) Download the plugin from http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip
    2) Upload the plugin to your site via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New.
    3) Activate the plugin and go to Plugins -> Jetpack Compatibility Test.
    4) Click the “Select All” button.
    5) Send us the test results via this contact form:
    http://jetpack.me/contact-support/

    Thanks!

@xtinedanielle Your problem is different, since you’d like your stats to be migrated from one site to another. I have just done that for you. I also transferred your subscribers.

    @jeremy Herve

A couple of week ago I moved my wordpress site from my subdomain (http://blog.gak.it) to the main site (http://gak.it).
I’ve done redirect 301 and same file and database were mantained. The stats were working till today when I just upgraded Jetpack at last version and Jetpack asked me to disconnect and reconnect again. Then I lost all my stats.

I also had W3 Total cache. I deactivated and follow the instruction after the error:

Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32601
    Try connecting again.

Anyway I’ve read that changing url you lost all the stats, but till now (till I had to upgrade/re-activate), It was working well.

It’s possible to have my stats migrate ? My old client-id was 23055691
while the new one is 23055691.
I have more than 2 year of stats and I really want to have them back. Otherwise If I move back my website in my subdomain can I re-activate them correctly?
    Thanks

Also sent the report to WordPress contact form.

I’ve tried to go back and run wordpress on the old addess, with same old file and database (so client id), but nothing, I can’t activate the stats:

Invalid request, please go back and try again.

@orion42 I just replied to your email!

Everything is fixed ! Thanks very much, You will have my eternal gratitude!

I wrote also for other people that should have the very same problem:

in the end was not the change in url or the upgrade at last version, but when I was trying to connect jetpack in my localhost version on my computer. This disconnected the online site and create the problem.

After the manual fix by Jeremy (on Jetpack server), I jest disconnect and reconnect the account and everything, stat and subscribers went back to old ones!

    Thanks again!

Jeremy, we are having the same issue. Our old client id is 13020629. Can you help us to restore the old site stats?

We tried to manually update the “jetpack_options” value to the old client id, and now we get this error in site_stats page:

You are not a member of this site.

If you have just installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.

The owner of the API key must visit this site’s stats page to grant access.
