   When I load an image for the header, nothing shows up. The file is 690x115, saved as a gif file (for the web) in Illustrator. What am I doing wrong?

   What do you mean "load an image for the header"?

   Are you trying to upload an image through the WP admin interface...maybe through a theme that allows this? Or through your FTP program? Or....?
