Problem installing WP-Super-Cache on SF (4 posts)

I have setup a WordPress blog on SourceForge, and I'm trying to install WP Super Cache. However, it keeps saying this:

Error: Configuration file missing and wp-content directory (/home/groups/s/sn/snowcms/htdocs/wp-content) is not writable by the Web server.
    Check its permissions.
Cannot continue... fix previous problems and retry.

I've chmodded my wp-content directory to 777 and I've (tried) to create a wp-cache-config.php. It still shows up. Help?

Is SF using php safe mode or anything unusual?

No...I put up a phpinfo and it says Safe Mode is Off. Nothing seems unusual.

Can you get in touch with an admin there? Maybe they know why it doesn't work. If you're using a bog standard Apache2+mod_php setup then that should work.
