Hello! I am not really sure which host I am using... Because my friend just gave me ftp address to upload files then sub-domain... I think the host support SQL and PHP Maybe I have problem understanding the FAQ, I used more than an hour to install it but failed...

I uploaded wordpress files to ftp then installed XAMPP... OK.. I'm really confused... I don't really know what I did... Another thing that confused me is localhost... should i put localhost or the site my friend gave me...?
Can someone please tell me how to do it?

Okay, first you don't need xampp right now. That's for having a blog running on your computer which right now is not what you need.

I assume you have uploaded all the files to the webspace.
    Now follow this page:
    http://support.globat.com/sc/index.php/Databases
to make a database, a database user and a database password.
They are the only 3 details you need to get it going.
    Does that help at all?

I have some trouble with my installation.

I'm trying to install WordPress 2.02 in the server. I configured the config...php file, I set up the database (MySQL 4.1.18), but after put my email and name of the blog, it stops. Everything stop. There's no sign of a "second stage" in the installation.

Well, I check the database, and the install.php set the tables, but when I try to run index.php it shows nothing.

    What could it be?

Well, I've got also a problem. I uploaded WordPress on my FTP server for my website, but he didn't do it. Then I followed the instructions in the README, but I don't know what my DATABASE details are. What can I do know?
I'm almost 2 hours busy with this thing, but it won't work!
Can you please give me some things, so I can change it or something, so it does work?
