  • You may have a hotlinking management entry in a .htaccess

Are you on a cPanel account?

Ya I am using cPanel account friend.

My hot linking is switched off and .htaccess is empty.

Do you get a ‘red-x’ in IE for the missing images? Right click on the image placeholder and take a look at the properties/path WP thinks it’s supposed to be referencing… hopefully it’s a simple path issue in WP setup…

no red-x nothing, i dont know what happened while installing in subdomain.

just blank areas, even the wp-admin area is also not showing any images. no images at all.

etdsbastar – noticed you placing a signature to some other site, kind of spam like. I will remove those links. Please refrain from leaving signatures. Thanks.

So you are able to upload pictures into a post? Might review Changing File Permissions.

    bump

You have WP installed in the main domain using database 1
and a second install in xyz using database 2?

If you’re only using one WP install in the subdomain, review the instructions for installing on a subdomain…

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#In_a_Subdirectory

I had the same issue but could not resolve it. My hosting site is Lunarpages and I used Fantastico to install a second copy of WordPress, using a second database, into the root of a subdomain (not a subdirectory). No images would display in the WordPress Console or from a theme. Installing a second copy in a subdirectory of my main domain had no issues. etdsbastar, did you ever get it resolved?
