   I am a layman developing my personal website in wordpress 3.3 with suffusion theam at the followilg link:-

   I do not know anything about web design or web programming. I have received the following messagesin one of my posts:

   I have not understood these messages. Can someone explain these messages in layman language and solution (that too in layman language)in case I have a problem with my site.

   It's comment spam. Just delete it.

   Thanks, I have labeled those comments as spam. One of the post on same website got another comment which is given below:

   I’m having a tiny problem I can’t seem to be able to subscribe your feed, I’m using google reader by the way.
   my blog is on cheap family vacations.

   I subscribed to to the website using one of my email Ids, I had no problem in subscription. Kindly suggest how to resolve this issue if it exists on my website.

   Yeah, they're ALL spam comments. Delete them, it's okay. People do stuff like that to trick you into thinking they're real.

   How does Akismet determine, lets say a friend poosts on
   my blog, that it is not spam, yet when I get similar msg
   to kamal1955, that they are spammed...

   What determines whether the comment is legit, is it the IP,
   or like does the user need to register, to show the software
   that they are real?

   akismet works mainly on spamming tendencies
   when a comment is marked as spam, it is stored in a database and used to spam other posts with those characteristics

   it also uses ip and known blacklists

   so, in essence, when you spam a post, you are helping akismet "learn" for the future
