   I want to import all my posts from my previous installation of wordpress to my new installation of wordpress on an entirely new host.

   Basically I exported everything and it was about 7 and a half megabytes. I then tried important it to my wordpress blog to get all my old posts and stuff back. Everything looks like its working but it basically only imports like 20% of the actual amount of posts and pages I had before and it stops.

   I check and like most of my stuff isn't even uploaded?

   any reason why this may be happening?

   are the wordpress blogs the same version? also, there could be some junk that got posted that's choking on import.

   Yes the blogs are the same version.

   Im completely lost. I have over 200 pages and like 60 posts and the import only does like 40 pages and 44 posts. And every time I try it it does a different amount. iv tried like 20 times.
