   Hello! I have been switching my wordpress.com account over to wordpress.org, and have had a lot of difficulty importing the files, specifically the images.

   Originally, I thought the problem was that my images were way too big. So I resized all the images on my old blog, and attempted to import the data again.

   This is the message I get after importing:

   Import WordPress
   Media “baby frosting” already exists.
   Media “IMG_6256” already exists.
   Media “IMG_3711” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7106” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7582” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7399” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7475” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7475” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7489” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7498” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7706” already exists.
   Media “IMG_7608” already exists.

   There is also no "Have Fun" link. I was working with GoDaddy, and through their help my new site is up and running, but the images are pulling from the old site (I think?!?) and are still way too big. This is also an issue because I may be missing other files that would have come in after the images (for example my stats didn't convert over).

   Thank you for the response and the link. However, the process described for importing from a WordPress export file into a WordPress blog is the same one I've followed exactly over and over. I just tried again this morning with the same result - my images did not carry over, and I got the same error message as before.

   What could possibly be the cause of this? It's so odd. If you look at this post: http://kitchen-chronicles.com/2012/05/15/cookie-dough-oatmeal/

   The first photo I uploaded manually from my desktop. The rest of the photos are still drawing from the old source, my old blog lemonsouffle.wordpress.com and are enormous.

   I really want a successful import so that I know that all my files have come over correctly....any thoughts? Thank you!
