   I can't embed YouTube videos in posts to WordPress 2.7. I've tried checking and unchecking the "Disable the visual editor when writing" box, but the result (inability to embed) is the same either way. I notice that whenever I save drafts with the YouTube embed code pasted into the post, that text isn't saved. I'm on a Mac with OS X 10.5.6. My browser is Mozilla Firefox 3.0.5. Help will be appreciated...thanks.

   All my users (with "Author" accounts) are having the same problem! Any ideas?

   Posting embedded videos works fine with my "Admin" account.

   same problem here! any accounts with author dont work with videos? "admin" accounts work fine...

   we really need help here! ;)

   There was a question about this the other day and the apparent answer was that WP only allows embedding by people with admin ranking. I suggest you do a search for the topic and review what was said - I didn't make note of it because it's not an issue for me personally.

   I have the same problem.. I have to upgrade the status (to editor) for a user, and in this way he could post videos. This is not a solution 'cause the Author should post video.
