   I am trying to create an archive index which will display post by post and the corresponding date for each post.

   I used wp_get_archives, and used a page template.

   However, there seems to be no option to display the date before the post title and I also want "next", "previous" and paging buttons.

   I want to create something like this: http://www.inquirer.net/specialfeatures/nbndeal/archive.php

   There is probably a plugin that will do what you are looking for

   Ok. So what I did was use query posts.

   It worked well and displayed the post. But I still have to put a "next" and "previous" set buttons. Is there a way?

   Thanks! I used the plugin and it worked ok. However, there seems to be difficulty in customizing the appearance of the plugin in order to look like how it looked like above.

   For instance, the "Page 1 of 4" text in the example was at the end, instead of being at the beginning. There seems so be no option to customize it.
