Problem changing URL in wordpress

Hey,I’m new to this forum but I wanted to change my url so people could
acces my site by typing in example. wwww.Site.com instead of http://www.Site.com/wordpress
I found this tutorial on youtube but he said you needs a .htaccess file,
this file isn’t included in wordpress what should I do please help.
