[resolved] Problem after updating twenty eleven (7 posts)

I am using a child theme for twenty eleven. Today, I updated twenty eleven and now my header image, instead of appearing immediately below my nav menu, appears to the right of the menu and extends off the right side of the screen.

This occurs on my PC laptop, but not on my macbook pro. I've gone through the CSS and it is all correct. I've tried clearing my cache and restarting my browser. The child theme doesn't contain any code referencing the header image or its size.

Unfortunately, I cannot post the address at this time because the site is for members of a health services agency and contains confidential information. I'll see if I can find a solution, but in the meantime I'd appreciate any ideas.

It sounds as though you hadn't transferred all your changes into your Child Theme before you updated.

Thank you for your insight, but that cannot be the problem. I have never made a single change to the original twenty eleven theme. I've been working in the child theme since the very beginning of the site. I've also updated twenty eleven successfully a number of times without any issues.

Also, if that was the case, it should be broken on all computers, not just some.

My child theme includes the following files:
    style.css
    functions.php
    quickwidget.php
    category.php
    footer.php
    header.php
    showcase.php

As you can see, I am obsessive about making sure I create a child file anytime I need to edit anything.

    Other thoughts?

Could there be plugins causing this issue?

I don't know. I deleted one that we weren't using (it's been deactivated for a while), but other than that nothing has changed in months. The only thing we've done is added content. Other than that, all of the plugins and formatting have been set for months and haven't caused any problems.

    I'm at a total loss.

One more piece of information. It works in Safari and Internet Explorer, but no longer in Firefox. That just happened when we updated it today.
