Problem activating facebook plugin on Windows server

I try activating the plugin and it causes an error on wordpress, I have to manually remove the plugin to get wordpress to fire up again…

I noticed that there are quite a few other sites with the issue if you google it.

The file facebook-en_US.mo doesn’t exist in that folder or anywhere in the plugin folder at all. I tried creating a blank text document of that name on the server and that didn’t help.

This is a windows server running on plesk.

Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks!
