   I have plugins installed and activated. Of these 3 do not appear on the "options sub menu"
   These 3 are 'smartrss', 'alinks" and "comments".
   Can anyone please advise how I can get them to appear.

   Well.....not everything appears in the Options submenu. aLinks has it's own Menu item, after Options. Don't know about the others. Try looking in other submenus, esp Manage.

   Try and get the updated plugin support for WordPress 2.3 from the authors page
