   I'm trying to find a way to set up a page or category for each user, that only they can see.

   This is for a private trainer. She wants to be able to communicate certain things with each of her clients (many things), and I'm thinking this would be a good way of doing it.

   Basically, in a perfect world, I would be able to check off Private when making the post/cat.

   Then when you edit a user, you can see a list of all things marked private, and then select one(s) and grant access. Exactly how forums are handled in phpbb (for anyone that uses them).

   Is there anything like this? Thanks for the help

   This plugin looks like it will do it: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/social-access-control/

   Its part of a larger group of plugins called Social Privacy: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/social-privacy/

   So far, it looks like the privacy features are working correctly with 2.7 although the second feature I need, which is subscription notifications, isnt. If posts are made to a category that multiple users have access to, they all get the post notification email, even if only one of the users can view the actual post (due to per post permissions).

   At any rate, I think that top link is a good solution for anyone looking for what I was originally looking for..

   Have you installed, activated and checked it? It has options that can be set for anonymous users, which do not actually work. The content is not getting restricted, the viewer is able to see the link and is able to click and view the post too.

   Do let me know about your experience
