a newbie to the blogging world. is there anyway i can use my wordpress blog only for family and friends? or is this a no-no in the blog world? i know having to log-in can be annoying to some - and many wouldn't even bother.. and just forget about my site...but i guess it's more for a peace of mind.
any advice is appreciated.

Is there even such as thing as a "no-no" in the blog world? And even if there was, so what? It's your site, your blog, do what you want. That's what's beautiful about the internet. You can do pretty much whatever you want and no one can really say "No! Bad!"
