I am delighted with the look and feel of this interface. This is a major improvement over 2.6.5. It's fun to use and makes me want to write and play. I would like to see easier and different management options for privacy settings. And I have a feature request for a "bulk quick edit" option.
Under Settings> Privacy in 2.6.5, there was a third option that I do not see in 2.7 RC1:
"I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose."
I miss this setting as a default for the whole site. I find this especially useful when drafting the design for a site that is not yet ready for the public.
[As an aside (because I know this is a wordpress.org forum), will users of wordpress.com suddenly be surprised to have their formerly exclusive blogs go public when 2.7 arrives?]
The bulk edit feature is elegant and allows the user to quickly change the status of any and all entries. I wish there were a blog-wide settings feature that would allow all posts to be private or password-protected by default, rather than having to adjust this on a case-by-case basis as each one is drafted.
The default on the bulk actions pulldown menu is "actions" (more of a label indicating options you could select. Probably helpful or necessary for learning how to navigate). I would love to see another action added: "bulk quick edit": this would open the quick editor for all entries at once. The user could inspect a first level of content and settings, and even cut and paste across entries. Or is there a technical limitation to how many quick edit entries can be open on one page?
Brilliant work so far!
