   Pages that I have previously published and were working fine are not now appearing on the site.

   The pages still show up in the dashboard and I can see the content/code.

   The page links still show up on the home page, but when you click on them you get a 404 error and no page.

   The same thing happens if I try to preview a page from the dashboard - 404 error.

   I have tried deleting pages and re-writing them but this hasn't worked.

   I haven't changed any core code.

   I'm stumped, anyone got any ideas?

   have you checked your permalinks?
   settings->permalinks, update and save then try

   You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar!

   It works if the permalinks are in default mode i.e.
   yourdomain.com/?p=123

   but not in month and name mode i.e.
   yourdomain.com/index.php/2008/06/sample-post/

   which is a custom structure of:
   /index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

   Not very SEO friendly but at least it works....

   I am still having problems with the same issue. I have published pages that won't show in my blog. I am very new to the blogging scene but understood the problem above and the solution that was suggested. When you say "update", what does that mean? Please spoon feed me here as I would really like this page up and running. Thanks!
