   For some reason previous_posts_link always returns the same entries, and not the older ones. Is there something obvious I am missing here?

   sorry for the delay - been busy here. This has been covered on the forums several times. You basically need to add some code to your query to fix it. Any of those results will have the necessary code. This one in particular lists the solutions that work the most often.
