   Hi There

   I am installing WordPress and using for CMS on my sites, which works great (Much better than relying on a programmer to take months to install custom cms that break down all the time lol). I am somewhat of a novice though and I don't know how to do the following:

   .... Some sites, we build in new hosting (with us), while their old site is hosted elsewhere (until we are ready for launch). Once we are ready, we reset the nameservers, except, we can't preview the wordpress site using the normal path we'd use prior to reseting nameservers? eg. http://70.87.76.2/~sampl (instead of http://www.samplessite.com.au)

   We are using Cpanel/ Fantastico to install wordpress, is there something I can do to overcome this problem?
   We need to preview the site before resetting nameservers.

   Is you want to look at the website at the new ip you could add it in your hostfile.

   hostfile (assuming you are on windows):
   C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

   add the server like this

   server ip domain name
   example :
   11.12.13.14 yourdomainhere.com

   if you now close your browser and reopen it you can surf to the domain on the new ip.
   Beware: There is a difference between http://www.yourdomain.com and http://yourdomain.com
