A client of mine is selling t-shirts in different sizes (small, medium, large, etc.). I have set up each size as a Product Option. If his quantity of large t-shirts becomes zero, how can I prevent the large t-shirts from appearing in the sale (without deleting that option from the post)?

the product option should become unavailable. If not I’d need a link to an example page.

Yes, that works using Stock Control. Is there a way to make the product option become unavailable when not using Stock Control?

    delete the option…

Yeah, I thought of that, but I didn’t want to add the options back in every time his stock is refilled. I think I’ll use the Stock Control, and enter a quantity of 1,000,000 for each option and when he runs out of one, just change the quantity to 0.

    Thanks!

Just remember not to sure the amount on the screen – AND – you may need to script something to alert when stock goes below a certain level.

What if I have two product options, such as
    1) sizes (small, medium, large, extra large)
    2) colors (blue, red, green)

and my client has zero quantity of the blue, extra large t-shirts. How can I remove that combination from the sale.

I’m sorry but this is something you’ll need to work out for yourself if you are using Option Sets. Otherwise, enter each t-shirt as a separate option with its own stock control.
