Prevent customers from accessing dashboard

Didn’t there used to be an option that created a redirect to the account page if a customer tried to login via wp-admin? I tried with my test user and it allowed me to login to the dashboard area. Granted, the only hing to see there is wordpress news and edit profile options, but it’s still not something I want customers seeing.
