Prevent custom role from having rights on higher roles

    Hi,

    Is this plugin allow me for instance to let editors edit posts published by other editors and lower roles (authors, contributors and subscribers) but prevent them to edit admin posts? Or “edit other’s posts” includes higher role’s posts? Same question for comments: can I give authors the capability to moderate comments only for posts of authors, contributors and subscribers but not editor or admin posts?

    In fact, I need to give rights to roles that only only affect their level role or lower, but not higher roles. Is it possible with this plugin?

    Hi,
    ‘edit_others_posts’ allows edit any post. As user levels are deprecated absolutely in current WordPress versions it difficult to decide automatically what role is higher.
    It could be realized with custom developed code only.
